For beginners, I present three sources that are good for reading hiragana.
All the sites are free.

There are videos and they show hiragana characters with voice and pictures.
They are made up of simple words.

There are many mini books that use only hiragana.
Hiragana comes with illustrations, so you can easily picture the words.

There are many books for different levels. They are written in hiragana, katakana and kanji. All katakana and kanji have hiragana as a pronunciation guide.
