A word-for-word translation

B:いい質問しつもんですね。のちほどおこたえします。

It’s grammatically correct, but we never say that when we’re asked that question.
In English, ‘that’s a good question’ in this situation is not a compliment either. So to say, You’re just saying it to buy time.

In Japanese, we say 本当ほんとうですねたしかになんででしょうね.
All of them have a sense of agreement with the other person’s question.

のちほどおこたえします is good and natural, but we usually say 確認かくにんします in a business situation.
